Did you know that July 15 is National “I Love Horses” Day?
If you are an avid rider, you probably do not need a special day to express
your appreciation for these amazing animals. For those who would love to show
their admiration for the horse with equestrian-themed jewelry, we have a
collection of pieces that is ideal.
Gold Horse Stirrup Money Clip from the 1940s
Suitable for year-round use, this 14k yellow gold money clip
measures 35.3mm in width and 50mm in height. Its depth of 6mm lets it fit
perfectly into your wallet, purse, or pocket. The beautifully polished lines of
the stirrup catch the eye.
We date this pin’s manufacture to the 1930s. Its body
consists of 14k yellow gold. A cabochon-cut ruby measures 1.37mm and is the
eye. Six round diamonds weigh a combined .04cts and make up the tack decor.
Artisans used 100 seed pearls that measure between 0.5mm and 1.5mm to stud the horse’s body. Their silvery white color accentuates the beauty of the gold. From
top to bottom, the horse pin measures 24.03mm; from side the side, the
measurement is 24.62mm.
It is fair to say that this pin is a work of art. Artisans
used 18k yellow gold that they worked into the likeness of a trotter and jockey. The texturing heightens the sense of realism. White, red, and blue
enameling provides the colors. The wheels of the contraption turn. At a length
of 46mm and a height of 22mm, this pin is a marvelous addition to your
wardrobe.
Late Victorian Pink Gold and Red Garnet Horseshoe Pendant
This Victorian masterpiece is most likely a British jewel from the 1890s. The upturned horseshoe consists of 12k pink gold that nestles
17 cabochon cut, round garnets with red to brown tones. They weigh a total of
2.50cts. The pendant hangs from a 14k pink gold chain with a length of 18.25
inches. The pendant measures 24.97mm in width and 31.34mm in height. Wear this
attractive necklace to the boardroom, for a night out with friends, or just
because.
A slight variation on the theme, this Victorian horseshoe pendant comes from the 1880s. It features 14k pink and green gold. Seven
rose-cut diamonds present with different sizes and weights. Wear this pendant
with the accompanying 16-inch necklace. The upturned horseshoe measures 23.69mm
tall and 19.99mm wide.
