Tsavorite garnets present with an attractive green color.
They are a recent discovery that Tiffany & Co. jewelry experts turned into
a household name when they incorporated them into some of their designs. You
will notice that the majority of stones feature vivid green and stay under a
2.0cts weight. If a gem ever weighs more, the jewel displaying it fetches a
steep price. We have put together some of our favorite pieces for your perusal.
Vintage Dilimani Tsavorite Garnet Pendant with Diamonds
Dilimani artisans relied on invisible settings for this
pendant. It starts with an 18k white gold square measuring 18.34mm by 25.9mm.
Containing 36 square garnets, the combined weight of the stones is 5.0cts.
Adding even more sparkle was easy with the inclusion of 48 round full-cut
diamonds that present with a total weight of .18cts. The pendant hangs
suspended from a 16-inch necklace.
Unusual Ariel-certified Garnet Ring with Diamonds
This piece is the kind of jewel you have to see to believe.
It starts with an 18k white gold setting. There are natural marquise-cut grossular garnets that present with a light yellow to green coloration. Each
weighs about 3.0cts. Along the band, you see 86 Tsavorite garnets. Another 28
full-cut diamonds weigh a combined .30cts and offer the sparkle. The width at
the ring’s top is 13.3mm. At the bottom, the width tapers off to 3mm.
Crivelli White Gold Ring with Peridot and Tsavorite Garnets
We love the combination of the green hues that this jewel
presents. The setting material is 18k white gold. The high-domed peridot
cabochon weighs 4.0cts and is the focal point of the ring. Its green hue is
light and attractive. One-hundred twenty-seven Tsavorite garnets surround the cabochon. Their combined weight is 2.40cts. At the top, the ring’s width is
13.5mm; at the bottom, the measurement reduces to 2.8mm.
1940s Art Deco Style Tsavorite Garnet Platinum Ring with Diamonds
If you are in the market for an engagement ring, this piece
is unique. That said, it also pulls double duty as a purely ornamental adornment.
It features a platinum setting and displays the highlights of the Art Deco era.
The Tsavorite garnet shows as an oval and weighs .67cts. Twelve round diamonds
add plenty of sparkle to the show. Their combined weight is .25cts. This ring
looks very attractive on the hand. Look carefully; you will notice that the
width of the band is in perfect proportion to the display of the gemstone. It
is a truly lovely piece.
