No Dirty Dishes Day: Celebrate It With a Vintage Diamond Ring

There is the regular calendar with its government holidays, and then there is the “other” calendar that features oddball occasions. Case in point is No Dirty Dishes Day, which you might observe on May 18. While your better half will probably appreciate a day off from doing the dishes, imagine her delight if you celebrated it with a vintage diamond ring! After all, nobody will be doing dishes while wearing one of these beauties. What are your options?

Art Deco Asscher Cut Diamond Ring

This beauty shows the defining influences of the early Art Deco period. The setting comes from the Peter Suchy workshop and is handmade using platinum; the stones were cut by experts right around 1910. The Asscher-cut center diamond weighs in at 4.41cts and shows off some amazing patterns that artisans achieved by manipulating the rear facets. This artistry is something you just do not see anymore these days. Adding two baguette-cut diamonds with a combined weight of .95cts achieves an entirely balanced look.

Brilliant-cut Diamond Ring in a Platinum Setting

This ring’s design follows the classic three-stone pattern. The platinum setting holds a rectangular shaped center diamond that displays a brilliant cut. The stone weighs 3.01cts. Trapezoid-cut diamonds flank this stone on either side. Both of these stones weigh a combined .85cts. This truly spectacular ring will get her plenty of attention when she wears it.

Fancy Yellow Three-stone Diamond Ring

When she prefers fancy intense yellow diamonds to white ones, this ring is just the thing. We created the ring with platinum in the Peter Suchy workshop. There, we engraved it to present as the ideal backdrop for stones that are as close to being perfect as they come. The setting portions themselves we fashioned from 18k greenish yellow gold to bring out the colors. The center stone is an old-European-cut fancy intense yellow diamond that weighs 2.53cts. On either side, a round brilliant old-European-cut diamond weighs .73cts. If you only look at one diamond ring today, make it this one.

1930s Art Deco Engagement Ring

Why not combine the observance of No Dirty Dishes Day with a marriage proposal? This ring begins with a platinum setting that holds an early round brilliant-cut diamond weighing in at 5.46cts. Fourteen round full-cut diamonds stud the sides of the ring. They weigh a combined .50cts. There is no better way to pop the question than to unleash the sparkle of this fabulous jewel.
