We Match Our Vintage Jewelry to Ingrid Bergman’s Jewelry!

Born in Stockholm, Sweden on August 29, 1915, Ingrid Bergman went on to win three Oscars and appeared in over 50 films. She also acted in five different languages including Swedish, English, German, French and Italian and above all her screen accomplishments; her beauty is what captivated all of us. This is the mark of a true Silver Screen actress and her films like Casablanca and Gaslight remain two of the most popular vintage movies today.

Married three times to Peter Lindstrom (1937-1950), Roberto Rossellini (1950-1956) and Lars Schmidt (1957-1976), Ingrid Bergman once said, “I have had my different husbands, my families. I am fond of them all and I visit them all. But deep inside me there is the feeling that I belong to show business.” Kudos to this beauty whose voice was so recognizable and her face up on the screen was like an angel.

Ingrid Bergman won three Oscars for the films Gaslight (1944), Anastasia (1956) and Murder on the Orient Express (1976), but to most she is remembered as “Ilsa” to Humphrey Bogart’s “Rick” in Casablanca. Her roles varied so from “Alice” in Hitchcock’s Notorious (1946) to Joan of Arc (1948) she was quoted as saying, “I’ve gone from saint to whore and back to saint again, all in one lifetime.”

As much as we enjoyed all of her films, here at Peter Suchy Jewelers, we thought we’d match some of our jewelry to Ingrid Bergman’s jewelry worn in some of her movies.

The Casablanca Bracelet

As Ilsa, Ingrid wore a 15 round cut diamond (CZ) bracelet that had a total of 18 carats. It was 7.5 inches in length and included rhodium plating. So lovely on such a slim and elegant wrist.

Our match to Ingrid Bergman’s diamond bracelet? This lovely 5.00 carat ideal cut diamond line bracelet. All the eyes see are these diamonds sparkling from one end to the other. It comes with a hidden box catch and 56 round diamonds.

The Saratoga Trunk Ring

In the film Saratoga Trunk, Ingrid wore this beautiful 3.47 oval cut synthetic blue sapphire diamond ring that accentuated her rare beauty and gentle infectious charm. So pretty!

Our match to this sapphire diamond ring? Our estate 3.50 carat fine vivid blue oval sapphire and white diamond ring. GIA Certified and includes 12 round cut diamonds!

The Casablanca Ring

In Casablanca we saw this gorgeous emerald diamond ring—ravishing and stunning as much as her character Ilsa! The emerald ring was 4.48 synthetic carats and included two clear cut (CZ) diamonds flanked on each side with 14k gold plating.

Our match to Ingrid Bergman’s emerald diamond ring? This stunning fine bright green oval emerald (.65 carats) with 12 white round diamonds 14k yellow gold ring. Much like Ingrid’s ring, the triangle shape of the ring is enhanced by the diamonds flanked on the side.

Although the world lost Ingrid Bergman in 1982, she will always shine in our hearts and in old film festivals on television and at movie venues everywhere.
