SeidenGang Jewelry: A Partnership of Designers

SeidenGang is made up of the last names of Carol Seiden and Carolyn Gang, the fashion jewelry line’s founders. Seiden and Gang initially made a name for themselves when they took well-known Greco-Roman mythological images and turned them into gorgeous jewelry pieces. Although both artisans have different takes on fashion styles, their collaboration has led to the famous SeidenGang collection of elegant jewelry pieces.

The materials of choice include 18K gold, plenty of sterling silver, diamonds and precious stones. The choice of 18K gold makes a lot of sense when the shopper gazes at the finished designs. Reminiscent of the appearance of actual antique jewelry pieces in their heyday, the material is a natural choice for the items that feature the intentionally uneven lines of old coins or display the depiction of old-world insect life or characters.

SeidenGang currently features eight distinct collections. Individual pieces fall into the lines of bracelets, earrings, enhancers, necklaces, pins, cufflinks and rings.

Love of Life. Pins feature elaborate butterflies or intertwined rings. The pieces are a study in detail work that alternates the gold with diamonds. Some necklaces are showpieces with oversized links and sizable medallions. They look fantastic against a black sweater that offsets the gold to its fullest advantage.

Classic. The classic collection relies heavily on the creation of pieces that remind of old coins. Earrings have an antique look by virtue of the clasp design that was in style during the time of the Caesars. The cufflinks display a high degree of artisanship in the designs, which makes them easy to recognize as SeidenGang pieces.

Dune. Pieces of this collection prominently feature precious stones. They are displayed whimsically as focal points on necklaces or as teardrops on earrings. Rings, too, create the perfect setting for the display of precious stones.

Galaxy. Tiny diamonds sparkle in the pieces of the Galaxy collection. The visual aesthetics of the shimmering diamonds and the earrings inspired by antiquity lead to the creation of a unique line of jewelry items that create a stunning look.

Joie De Vivre. Jewelry lovers celebrate the joy of living with designs that feature nature-themed motifs. There are also plenty of hearts and torch designs. This lighthearted collection perfectly combines for an ensemble of classic chic when worn.

Laurel. Pieces of this collection are playful and intricate. Bracelets are thin and there are copious accent pieces. Earrings are thick and feature astonishing edgings. The connoisseur knows to accessorize an ensemble with the matching pin for a shawl.

Muse. For the antiquity aficionado, this collection is a must-have. Earrings resemble freshly minted coins in the old style, highly detailed motifs and plenty of play involving light and shadow. These pieces are unique conversation starters.

Odyssey. Kept in the ancient Greek style and hinting at color combinations that could have been quite popular before the fall of Troy, these jewelry items feature gemstones in sparkling greens and purples.
