Shop for Vintage Across-the-Finger Rings

The across-the-finger look is a classy way of adding pizzazz to a ring without turning it into a cocktail model. After recently mentioning this type of jewel in our July ring special, interest in the style is increasing. Here are some of our most breathtakingly beautiful examples of the look.

Amethyst Ring with Diamond Halo in Pink Gold from the 1980s

This jewel is a custom-made 14k yellow and pink gold ring. The fancy purple amethyst weighs 1.57cts and stretches across your finger. Artisans added a halo consisting of 30 round full-cut diamonds weighing a collective .12cts. Pay close attention to the attractive scrollwork that makes the setting stand out.

Fancy Yellow Diamond Ring with White Diamonds from the 1940s

Faithful to the classy look that this design affords, this ring is a fantastic example of the stretch. Set in platinum with 18k green gold accents, you see a marquise-cut fancy yellow diamond weighing in at .65cts. The color is stunning. Adding 14 single-cut diamonds to surround it, jewelry makers succeeded in offering just enough sparkle to underscore the design. Their combined weight is .28cts. This ring quickly becomes the centerpiece of your collection.

Sonia B Designer Ring Featuring Citrine and Sapphires

The designer’s take on the across-the-finger look involves an 18k yellow gold setting and an oval citrine. It is the focal point of this design. To add just a bit of interest to the ring’s sides, the jeweler incorporated 14 round, yellow sapphires that weigh a total of .20cts. Rely on this jewel to accessorize your yellow, red, and orange wardrobe pieces.

Carnelian in a Yellow Gold Ring Setting

At first glance, this 18k yellow gold ring looks like a simple enough design. It features an elongated top that holds an untreated, natural orange to red carnelian in a cabochon cut. But when you look closely, you notice that the stone is translucent. Then, you discover the slight bulging of the side. Finally, you realize how the light reflects off the perfectly polished stone. In short, this fantastic ring looks great on the finger.

Blue Chalcedony Ring in Yellow Gold

Set in 18k yellow gold, this ring displays a medium-blue chalcedony with translucent qualities. The color of the stone is attractive and easily complements almost any wardrobe choice – even the harder to accessorize colors. At the top, the ring has a width of 12.11mm; at the bottom, this measurement tapers off to 3.50mm. Try this one on; you will love it!
