Some pieces of vintage jewelry come with a superior wow
factor. When you present her with one (or more) of these jewels, she will not
care about roses, cards or fancy dinners. We have gone through our inventory of
spectacular vintage jewelry and found you items that would be perfect for
Mother’s Day this year.
1940s Hand-carved Aquamarine Dangle Earrings with a Floral Motif
Artisans took almost translucent aquamarines that present
with a blue to natural green color and hand-carved them into three-dimensional images of roses. Their combined weight is 4.0cts. Set in 14k yellow gold, these
earrings measure 29.67mm from top to bottom and feature a width of 13.08mm. The
earrings are suitable for daily wear and bring a distinct wow factor to the
table.
Diamond Ring with a Platinum Setting, Featuring Art Deco Style Elements
The platinum setting comes from the 1920s, which places it
at the beginning of the Art Deco era. The square shape opens the door to
inventive designs. It displays with diamonds that artisans cut between 1890 and
1900. One old-mine-cut stone weighs .50cts; you also notice four old-mine-cut
diamonds with a combined weight of .70cts and four single-cut diamonds that
weigh in at a collective .12cts. This unique piece looks amazing.
1879 French Bangle Bracelet
Long ago, artisans fashioned an ornate bangle bracelet with
14k pink gold. An oval black onyx displays in the middle. It provides a visual
counterpoint to 11 old-mine diamonds with a total weight of 2.30cts. At the
center of the bracelet, you notice a .65cts diamond that shows off an amazing
bit of sparkle. At the top, the bracelet has a width of 37.85mm; at the bottom,
the width reduces to 11.20mm. When you present her with this timeless beauty,
her jaw is sure to drop.
C. Krypell Dangle Earrings with Diamonds and Pink Tourmalines
Charles Krypell needs no introduction. These earrings
feature artful designs using 18k pink and white gold. At the centers, there are
two cushion-cut pink tourmalines with a combined weight of 5.03cts. Adding
sparkle to the mix is a snap with 139 round, full-cut diamonds that weigh a
collective .70cts. The artistry of the design is second to none.
Cathy Waterman Platinum Dangle Earrings with Diamonds
Cathy Waterman is another name that jewelry insiders know
very well. These creations are four-petal earrings with a triplicate design.
Jewelry makers used 14k white gold and platinum for the setting. You see 24
full-cut, round diamonds with a total weight of .15cts. From top to bottom,
these earrings measure 31.63mm.
