The Hammerman empire was founded about 75 years ago. This
family-run business distinguishes itself from the competition with its
intricate production means that result in the creation of breathtakingly
beautiful jewelry pieces.
Currently, there are eight Hammerman Brothers collections.
Classic. The line
of classic jewelry is famous for its crisp lines and the play of yellow gold on
platinum. Gems used in the pieces include diamonds and emeralds. The Ying Yang
ring in particular is a showstopper. Made in part of yellow and in part of
white gold, its opposites are sure to attract plenty of attention.
Hammerman Sport.
Even though the sporty name conjures up images of tennis bracelets, these
pieces are actually far more intricate. Suitable for relaxed wear, gypsy
earrings feature diamonds set in 18-karat gold. Diamond globes offer beauty in
platinum settings. The cabochon of color ring showcases a startling carnelian
with a diamond shell.
Haute Joaillerie.
Clear spheres and unbroken circles hold as much appeal as necklaces featuring
three strands. This is the type of jewelry you would wear for a lavish night
out. A regal emblem fashioned from yellow gold and diamonds vies for attention.
A free form platinum setting features an array of diamonds that imitates small
leafs.
Les Boules. The
bulbous ends of these pieces are attractive counterpoints to the elegant lengths
of necklaces that hold them. White gold connects pink sapphires and diamonds in
petite les boules chains. Earrings feature green sapphires and the now
well-known yellow and white gold mix.
Royal Ascot. This
line of jewelry is for the man who enjoys formal wear and the quintessential
cufflink. Masculine designs have characteristically strong shapes that are more
elegant than whimsical.
Royal Pave. The
pave tradition is a classic among jewelers. Hammerman brings out the beauty in
turquoise, onyx and diamonds with this line of pieces. Rubies set in blackened
white gold are beautiful examples of the power this presentation brings to the
table.
Tavannes. Petal
and flower shapes inspire the pieces that fall under this heading. Each
carefully crafted and connected, these pieces bespeak the old traditions of
jewelry-making when intricate workmanship was a sign of high skill and much
sought after by the buyers in the know.
H2 at Hammerman.
This collection bills itself as being “what women want.” Mixes of the stylish
and the wearable, these pieces fall into seven separate collections. Colors are
muted and the jewels belong into the category of casual comfort. Mind you, this
type of comfort does not mean that the artisans are skimping on the settings or
the gems. Instead, look for 18-karat gold and cognac citrine, blue topaz and
faceted onyx. These pieces are big on gemstones but not necessarily diamonds.
Of course, Hammerman Brothers also works on commissioned and
unique customer designs. Then again, with so many gorgeous jewels to choose
from, who needs to dream up their own pieces?
